Ng Yong Ngee


Mr Ng is a Non-Executive Director of ST Asset Management.

Mr Ng has over 22 years of trading and risk management experience. He started his career with Union Bank of Switzerland as an analyst in the Structured Finance department in Singapore, then Sydney, and later joined the Syndication team in Hong Kong. In 2003, he was a Director with UBS Warburg, Singapore, Asian Credit Trading team, and in 2004 he was promoted to Executive Director and headed Credit Trading Asia, ex-Japan and Australia in UBS AG. From March 2006 to February 2009, Mr Ng was the head of Emerging Markets, Asia, Fixed Income of UBS AG and was a member of the Asia Pacific Fixed Income Executive Committee and the Global Emerging Markets Fixed Income Executive Committee. He last held the rank of Managing Director.

Currently as Chief Executive Officer of Tahan Capital Management, a Singapore based hedge fund manager, Mr Ng oversees, and is ultimately responsible for, the entire business that includes investment, risk, performance, operational platform and business growth. He is responsible for (i) capital allocation and strategy weighting; (ii) risk policy and framework (i.e. liquidity, concentration, stop-outs, de-risk triggers); and (iii) Portfolio hedging. He also sits on the board of directors and investment committees of various other investment and social entities.

Mr Ng graduated from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore with a Bachelor of Business degree with honours and has a Master’s degree in applied finance from Macquarie University Sydney, Australia.
